Stay True

 I know that sometimes life is complicated, uncertain and just plain hard. But we are all called to a higher purpose than who we are, who others are or how we stumble. We are called to love one another in forgiveness and grace with correction and humility. 

I love you all.

Dear warriors of the Light don’t put your weapons down.

You think that you are safe but fail to look around.

There is more to what you see and there’s things you cannot know

The only thing that matters now is God is in control.

The darkness may take over, free will is still a choice

But when the Light seems hidden, listen to His still small voice.

Stay true to Him and His Word, despite the rest, don’t stray

Ignore the tug to follow others who fell away.

They fail to give forgiveness, believing all the lies

Seeing the worst in others, through the evil one’s eyes

Don’t think that you can follow without feeling all of the pain

Of living in the darkness and being chained again.

Remember what the Word says-Forgive as He forgave

Give grace as grace was given. When rumors fly, don’t cave!

And one last word of caution: Humans will always be

Just human and so fallible, just like you and me

Don’t put them on a pedestal, just to watch them fall

And then refuse to help them because that’s not Christ at all

Give grace and love them harder and see what Christ would do

No matter what the outcome, to God’s Word still be true

I know that it’s not easy. Its a cross we all must bare

But when you find you're weakening, you will find Him there.
